New Jersey Looking To Gamble Using Online Social Games

It's been reported that New Jersey is looking into use social games like Candy Crush to make gambling casino machines. It comes from the success of the major social game, Candy Crush Saga. This is nothing new. During the late 90s, Slingo was popular enough to be made into a casino machine, however it was during the age where the Internet was scared enough that not many people used it. Now in 2014 with the age of gaming devices and browser based game, some folks out there are looking to cash into the success of internet distributed gaming.

The Amazon Game Service Try Out!

I'm glad the Amazon game service is around, however the same could be said about all the other game services out there, such as Google's one. Google has stepped up to unveil their Nexus. A gaming console which runs Google's firmware.

I've taken a chance to try out the Amazon gaming service. It's not that bad. I was able to find a few games to blow some money on. I was always a fan of the Commandos series when I was a teenager and given away the discs to a friend, so I taken the time to buy the games on the Amazon services.
It's really nice to see Amazon have their own client to allow people to download games. It's always been this way for many other companies early in the decades. It's really professional. Should I be surprised? Microsoft are also based in Washington state, a few miles away from Amazon, so clearly someone offered their skills to make this happen.

Now people are just going to wait until Amazon makes a video game, just like how Amazon have started making their webs shows with their studio.

Gone to play Ultima Online

Utlima Online was released during the late 90s. Considered to be one of the popular RPG games during the 80s, they made an MMO out of the game. The game has it's famous stories including the ever popular legend of Rainz who actually killed the game designer, Lord British, which was widely talked about. It's moments like this that make MMORPG's worth while.

Ultima Online has gone a long way in what it's been made, it's actually went the full length to make an enchanted version with a better user interface. You can download them both. It's interesting how I can download two clients which different features of the game (which I've screen and posted above). I like it for many reasons because it shows how far MMOs have become and it gives player a choice in what kind of interface they want.

Hopefully I'll go far into this game and live to talk about it.

Amazon Set To Open Retail Store In New York

Set to open for Christmas, this is big news and I think it's shows that we've come along way in the Internet Age to show off what the entire world could do when they use the Internet. Amazon is a major online shopping website and it shouldn't be surprising that they've set to open a new retail store in New York, however it comes as a surprise in my opinion because Google been out there selling their news of the Google Glass and Watch, however it can wait.

Amazon Studio Sent Me Promo DVD

A promo DVD arrived in a post to me just a few weeks ago. It was sent because I've been a Lovefilm customer for a long time.

In where I live in England, DVD rent-by-post service Lovefilm has been recently taken over by Amazon. Since then, Amazon via Lovefilm sent me a promo DVD with first free episode of three series aimmed for kids. Of course, these episodes are free on Amazon's website which they've also promoted. I think it's very interesting that Amazon used the Lovefilm post this way to send me a freebie promo DVD. Of course, it's common now to print digital media on DVD and sell or give them away as physical copies of such prints are becoming increasing common in the industry.

I just think it's a shame it was kids shows. They must of thought that I had kids but being in my late 20s, I was even somewhat hooked onto the shows that were sent. I've attached the image of the DVD above.
